My name is Penny and together with my husband Pete we are pleased to bring you this online version of our gorgeous children's clothing and toy store Whoops A Daisy, which is located in the picturesque central Victorian town of Castlemaine.
Pete and I grew up in Castlemaine. It was here that we met and married before leaving for what was to be a year or so trip around Australia. One month into that trip we drove into Perth. We fell in love with Perth, and stayed on for 12 years, during which time owned and operated a couple of successful businesses.
Also during this time, we managed to find the time to have 3 beautiful children, Jack, Mischa and Sophie.
However, it was after our children were born that we started to think about returning to Castlemaine, to be nearer to our family and friends and to bring up our children in a peaceful country environment.
Shortly after returning in 2008, we were fortunate enough to find our local children's clothing and toy store, Whoops A Daisy up for sale. After long discussions it was decided that we would have a role reversal ... we would buy Whoops a Daisy and I would go back to work full time, running the business, while Pete would stay at home in his new role of full time Dad.
Our store is full of fabulous handpicked products that include children's clothing, baby rattles, kids costumes, soft toys and so much more. It is a wonderful place to spend time browsing the many beautiful things we have on offer. This online version of our store will give you a peek into what exactly we have to offer.
It is our goal to bring you unique products, each with meaning as to why they were chosen. Whether it be because it is the latest product, or it is a tried and tested children's clothing item, locally produced, or something wonderfully unique that you may not have seen before, we hope you find something delightful here to tempt you!
